From 2017 and for more than three years, Théo Galliano worked in collaboration with the dealer and expert of old photography Serge Plantureux. This collaboration consisted in illustrating each week a subject related to the activity of this dealer: an investigation around an unpublished photograph, an auction or the expertise of a photographic lot, an exhibition, a subject related to a current event or an upcoming trip.

For Theo, this is a unique opportunity to probe the human history to which these photographs bear witness and to play formally with the link between drawing and photography, with the question of representation, staging and composition as a reconstruction of a historical context. This series of drawings explores a wide variety of historical and contemporary subjects.

These three years of close collaboration and assistance with this expert gave him the opportunity to travel to many countries, from Colombia to Russia, passing through the United States or Italy, and notably Mexico where he exhibited his drawings at the two fairs ZONAMACO CONTEMPORANEO and ZONAMACO ANTICUARIO in Mexico City.

A partir de 2017 et pendant plus de trois ans, Théo Galliano a travaillé en collaboration avec le marchand et expert de photographie ancienne Serge Plantureux. Cette collaboration consistait à illustrer chaque semaine un sujet lié à l’activité de ce marchand : une enquête autour d’une photographie inédite, une vente aux enchères ou l’expertise d’un lot photographique, une exposition, un sujet lié à une actualité ou un voyage à venir.

Il s’agit pour Théo d’une occasion unique de sonder l’histoire humaine dont ces photographies témoignent et de jouer formellement du lien entre le dessin et la photographie, de la question de la représentation, de la mise en scène et de la composition comme reconstitution d’un contexte historique. Cette série de dessins explore une très grande variété de sujets historiques et contemporains.

Ces trois ans de collaboration et d’assistance étroite avec cet expert lui donne l’opportunité de voyager dans de nombreux pays, de la Colombie à la Russie, en passant par les Etats-Unis ou l’Italie, et notamment le Mexique où il expose ses dessins aux deux foires ZONAMACO CONTEMPORANEO et ZONAMACO ANTICUARIO à Mexico.
